HOW DO I TAKE PART?

If you’d like to be a part of our record attempt, you need to sign up and register BEFORE the festival. You will also need to learn the official routine, which you can watch below. We can’t stress enough – you must sign up in advance or you won’t be able to take part on the day.

BEFORE YOU SIGN UP PLEASE READ OUR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

You MUST read and agree to the entry requirements to participate in the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the ‘Largest Disco Dance’ attempt.

The minimum age for entrants is 6-years-old. Children can enter by themselves but must be accompanied by an adult on the day.

Please note that places are non-transferable.

ALL entrants must have a weekend or day ticket to attend Camp Bestival Dorset on SATURDAY 30th JULY in order to sign up.

There is an entry fee of £20 per person which:

  • Guarantees your place in the attempt
  • Bags you an exclusive limited-edition Camp Bestival glittery cape to wear during the attempt (collection at the festival).
  • Donates money directly to our designated charity partner The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust that inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer.

Entrants must commit to learning the official dance by video tutorial and/or attending rehearsal workshops at Camp Bestival Dorset before the attempt.

The record attempt will take place on Saturday 30th July. We will send you the times ahead of the day and we will need you for a maximum of one and half hours. And, excitingly, we will find out that day if we have succeeded.

The dance for the record attempt will be 6 minutes long. Everyone taking part will need to learn a short dance routine and repeat for the full 6 minutes on the day in order to break the record

WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?

Everyone taking part will receive an exclusive Camp Bestival glittery cape on the day (which you can collect at the festival and is yours to keep).

For the record to count we need you to wear black trousers/ leggings/ shorts and a black top as well as the exclusive Camp Bestival cape during the attempt.

Naturally, we are also very much encouraging you to wear your wildest disco-themed glittery accessories, headgear, sunglasses, and face glitter, too. Please come ready on the day.
