Located in the very heart of Dorset between Bournemouth, Dorchester and Weymouth, Lulworth Castle is easily accessible by rail, coach or car...  

 

By Rail: 

Lulworth benefits from an excellent rail network linking the Midlands, North, Scotland and London Waterloo with Wareham or Wool railway station. With some planning, and buying train tickets in advance, it’s possible to make a journey by rail to Wareham or Wool from much of the country making it even more of a holiday experience. 

If you buy a Family & Friends Railcard, you can save a 1/3 off Anytime, Off-Peak and Advance adult train tickets, and 60% off child tickets too. South Western Railway's GroupSave discount also offers 34% off adult Off-Peak train tickets when 3 to 9 people are travelling together.
 
Local taxis will be available from Wareham and Wool Station to take you to the site, and also available from the site when you need to leave.

By Car: 

Camp Bestival takes place at Lulworth Castle, East Lulworth, Dorset. Please use the routes outlined below, following Camp Bestival event signage as you approach the festival:

Car Parking Charges: 

 

Weekend and Day car park passes can be purchased in advance here.


Advance Weekend Car Parking: £21.50

Advance Day Car Parking: £11.50


Non-Advance Weekend Car Parking: £26.50. Payable on arrival (cashless payments only)
Non-Advance Day Car Parking: £16.50. Payable on arrival (cashless payments only)


- All tickets subject to booking and handling fees

- Weekend Ticket holders who are not camping should ensure they retain their ticket so it can be used for all 4 days

 

Directions:

 

From the East (via/near Bournemouth) - follow the M27 / A31 through Ringwood to Bere Regis. Follow the signs towards Wool and then follow the event signage.  

From the West (via/near Dorchester) - from the A35 Dorchester bypass take the A352 signposted for Wool and Wareham. Then follow event signage.

On approach to the event please follow the relevant signage which relates to your ticket type:

General Camping tickets: Follow signs for Camping Car Parks, then enter site via YELLOW GATE

 

Day tickets: Follow signs for Camping Car Parks, then enter site via YELLOW GATE

 

VIP Day tickets: Follow signs for Camping Car Parks, then enter site via WHITE GATE

Boutique Camping: Follow signs for Boutique Camping, enter site via YELLOW GATE

 

Camp Pre-Pitch: Follow signs for Camping Car Parks, then enter site via YELLOW GATE
 

Front Row Campervans/Caravans: Follow signs for Camping Car Parks, then enter site via BROWN GATE

 

Kids' Garden Campervans/Caravans: Follow signs for Camping car parks, then on approach to site enter via WHITE GATE which is Lulworth Castle’s entrance gate.


Campervans/Caravans/Trailer Tents: Follow signs for Camping Car Parks, then enter site via YELLOW GATE

Camping Plus: Follow signs for Camping Car Parks, then on approach to camping car parks enter site via GREEN GATE

Accessibility Camping: follow signs for Camping car parks, then on approach to site enter via RED GATE

Hospitality & Backstage Camping: Follow signs for Camping car parks, then on approach to site enter via WHITE GATE which is Lulworth Castle’s entrance gate.

NB - Please do not follow your SatNav once you are on the A352 as we will have some road closures in place and please watch your speed as this is a rural location and likely to have heavier traffic than usual.

Leaving Camp Bestival: If you are driving home, bear in mind that it is holiday time down in Dorset so there may be traffic unrelated to the event. The A31 will be busy 8am–11am and 5pm–9pm, so why not delay your departure by visiting one of the hundreds of attractions in Dorset, visit www.visit-dorset.com for more information.

White Motor Boats operate ferries between Weymouth and Lulworth Cove in the summer months. They land passengers on the beach in the Cove, and then it is a 5 minute taxi ride to the Castle. Arrive in style! Call 07749 732428 for more info.
