Dick & Dom - we’ve been doing Camp B since 2011 causing general Bogie fuelled chaos!
Can you describe your Camp Bestival weekend in three words (remember we are a family show!)
THE BEST FESTIVAL!
Please can you share a Camp Bestival highlight?
Happy Mondays 2012 when Bez came on stage and shouted ‘Has anyone seen Dick & Dom?!’ Also in 2011 Primal Scream asking for a selfie with us!! Hearing Scremadelica on the castle stage was defo a highlight.
What top 3 tips do you have for a new festival going family?
Go for at least 2 nights so you can spread everything over 3 days - very important for kids to have a bit of down time. Plan well in advance what you need! Carry snacks with you at all times as queues for food can be long. Try not to eat at breakfast, lunch or dinner times as that’s when everyone else is queueing up for food, try and snack at those times but eat your main meal in between so they’ll be less queues!
What are your top 3 must have items to bring along to Camp Bestival?
A marker pen so you can write down your number on their wrist band in case they get lost, Pot Noodles - nice and quick feed (don’t show any other parents that you’re feeding them this as you’ll be judged!) and a phone charger pack for when you’re very hungover and you can’t be a happy smiley game playing parent again at 4am.
Where do you like to hang out when you’re not working? (favourite stage/ area/ secret hideout?)
Always enjoy wandering around the whole festival seeing all the happy campers usually shouting Bogies at us.
What are you most excited about for 2022?
Just getting back to normality! Last year Dick couldn’t make it as the day before he got Covid so we can’t wait to be back doing our thing together!
Favourite place to eat?
Pies!
What’s your favourite (family friendly) conversation overheard at Camp Bestival?
We love the way each campsite has there own late night game of Bogies and you can hear it bellowing around the festival!!
