Welcome to Fashion & Textile World – a wonderous creative space bursting with creative hands, activities and workshops. From customising to upcycling, knitting and macrame to woodblock printing, we’ve got some amazing experts on hand to teach you some new skills and get your creativity going. There’s something for everybody of every age with regular workshops happening across the weekend. All workshops are appropriate for a range of ages and are completely free and will last between 1-2hrs long and will run from Thursday through to Sunday evening. All materials are provided.
Get creative with the Textile Junkies, who will be bringing workshops making festival accessories, Textile Art, Knot just Macrame, WoodBlock Printing, Knitting using left over wool. Or join Steel and Stitch (aka Emma Friedlander-Collins) - an upcycling and remaking champion, finding positive ways to use her craft powers for good and sharing them wherever they are welcome. Bring a garment to Steel and Stich’s Customisation Station - a place to bring your lacklustre garments and give them a new lease of life, Whether it’s jackets, jumpers, baseball caps or crocs, we’ll have everything for you to stitch, snip and sew them back to life. Or why not join ArtLAB - a well respected and thriving Eco-Art Crafting company offering arrange of workshops including Eco-art upcycling jewellery workshop, upcycled festival flag painting, upcycled t-shirt abstract painting and dreamcatcher workshops.
