Silly Science Workshops
With an environmental focus, this year Silly Science Workshops explore garden animals. Investigating insect ecology through making animal slime and recycled paper seed bombs that will attract other garden insects to pollinate our plants and increase biodiversity.
Animal Snap SLIME
Make your own tub of sensory bug slime, exploring slime's properties whilst thinking about the animals that produce slime, the properties of slime and it's many uses!
Recycled Paper Seed Bombs
Children recycle paper to make their own seed bombs to take away and plant. Stemming from the ‘Guerrilla Gardening’ movement, which is about sewing seeds in neglected public places. Pulp your paper and sew your seeds to attract busy bees and other pollinators.
Brickies Club
This brick building experience is aimed at children aged 5 – 12 years old and guarantees to be a hit with LEGO fans! Brickies will be delivering a new animal themed building challenge for each day of the festival. No need to book, just head down to the science tent, we will provide you with a building mission and you will have access to thousands of LEGO bricks to help bring your idea to life.
