Since the release of her first album five decades ago Grace Jones has pushed back musical boundaries and explored the blurred lines between music and performance art like no other artist on the planet, a true force of nature guaranteed to take your breath away.
We’ve been looking for an opportunity to get reacquainted with the great lady’s talents since she very kindly appeared as a secret guest in the pouring rain at Bestival 2008, ignoring the weather to give us one of the most celebrated performances the festival ever saw, so we’re speaking from experience when we say that Grace Jones is the perfect artist for Camp Bestival with her unique and unbelievable mix of high art theatricality and balls out, booty shaking grooves.
