Please can you share one of your favourite Camp Bestival highlights?
It is so so hard to think of just one but would have to be 2018 watching clean bandit with my eldest daughter on my shoulders and everyone singing at the top of their lungs! Surrounded by friends and just pure euphoria and pure joy!
….. And please can you share one of your kids festival CB highlights!
Isabella (age 4) says and I quote ‘JUSTINS HOUSE! I see Justins house at camping and I was dancing’.
What tips do you have for a new festival going family?
Don’t worry! If you have forgotten something, someone will be there on hand with spares or you can grab something from inside the festival. You will always be ok, there is such an amazing sense of community that you will always have someone on hand to give you a hand! So don’t worry - you will be totally fine whether it is getting your tent up (or down) or needing a splash of milk for your camping stove cuppa! Everyone is so friendly and supportive and there are always supplies!
What are your top 3 must have items to bring along to Camp Bestival?
Baby wipes, Wellies & Glitter.
What’s your favourite area at CB? (favourite stage/ area/ secret hideout?)
Main stage is always incredible and super super fun but we have a soft spot for the slow motion area, especially with little ones its perfect to chill out!
Food tips? Bring your own or favourite stalls?
I am obsessed with camping and cooking so we bring loads of our own, I even did a Mexican themed night last year with a taco table! BUT we only do this for the first 48 hours and then on the last day or so we enjoy all the incredible choices inside the festival. (The churros and paella are INCREDIBLE). For camping cooking yourself our biggest tip is freeze your milk! It lasts ages and will defrost over the couple of days so you have fresh cold milk for cereal, teas and coffees.
What’s your favourite (family friendly) conversation overheard at Camp Bestival?
Just how much fun the kids are having. Watching their little faces scream and laugh when they see some of their favourites on stage and watching them dance the days away is just wonderful!
Who would you most like to see play on the Castle Stage?
Anyone! I think the atmosphere is so electric it doesn’t often matter who’s on stage - I mean I totally rock out to Mr Tumble. However, I would love one day to see a bit of a garage throw back and see so solid crew on stage! Haha I think that would be incredible for all my 90s music lovers.
