TERMS & CONDITIONS
Ticket Terms and Conditions:
1/ Proof of age may be required for all ticket types. Please ensure that you have ID with you in case you are asked. Failure to provide such ID may result in you being asked to leave the festival. Valid forms of ID include:
- An in-date photographic driver’s license or provisional licence.
- A valid passport (not a photocopy). Out of date passports will NOT be accepted.
- A Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card (showing the PASS hologram).
2/ We will be operating and enforcing a strict Challenge 25 policy at Camp Bestival. If you can’t provide valid identification when asked, you will be asked to leave the site and come back with your ID. So if you are lucky enough to look 25 or younger, please make sure that you bring an acceptable form of identification.
3/ Adult and Student Tickets can only be used by persons age 18 or over on day the festival starts.
4/ Child and Teen Tickets can only be purchased by an appropriately aged adult (see points below).
5/ By purchasing a Child (Babes In Arms (Age 1 & under), Age 2-4, Age 5-9, Age 10-12) Ticket or a Teen (Age 13-17) Ticket you are confirming that you are either the parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian of the teen or child for whom you are purchasing.
6/ Ticket holders under the age of 18 can only enter the festival with the person who purchased their ticket i.e. their parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian. Any under 18 ticket holders attempting to enter the festival without this person will be denied entry to the festival. For safety reasons, any persons attempting to enter the festival with a Child or Teen Ticket holder that they are not the parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian for will be denied entry.
7/ Age 10-12 and 13-17 Weekend and Day Tickets must be accompanied by a Ticket holding parent, guardian or nominated guardian. Full details below:
- All Child and Teen Ticket holders MUST camp with their parent, guardian or nominated guardian.
- A maximum of 4 Teen Ticket holders per adult - MUST be the parent, legal guardian or appointed guardian.
- All young persons (aged 15-17) MUST be accompanied by an adult over the age of 30 - MUST be the parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian.
- All young persons (aged 10-14) MUST be accompanied by an adult over the age of 26 - MUST be the parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian.
8/ Each adult attending can accompany up to a maximum of 4 Teen Ticket (age 13-17) holders.
9/ Nominated Guardians must complete a Non-Legal Guardianship Form and bring this with them to the festival. As with parents and Legal Guardians, the nominated guardian must be appropriately aged (see point 7) above to accompany Child or Teen Ticket holders to the festival and comply with the other rules regarding entry.
10/ Teen Ticket holders are not allowed in the arena field unaccompanied after 10pm.
11/ Teen Ticket holders must be accompanied by their parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian at all times after 10pm.
12/ Child Ticket holders are not allowed in the arena or campsites unaccompanied at any time.
13/ Prior written permission is needed by Camp Bestival (Safe Festivals Group Ltd) to use Camp Bestival tickets in any sales promotions, media, marketing, reward programmes, staff incentives, raffles, auctions or general competitions. 'Camp Bestival' is a registered trademark; the Camp Bestival logo and any related Camp Bestival artwork cannot be used without written permission of Camp Bestival (Safe Festivals Group Ltd).
14/ Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase, save as provided in Ticketmaster’s Purchase Policy.
General Terms and Conditions
1/ Right of admission reserved (R.O.A.R.)
2/ Camp Bestival is for nice people and is about having a good time. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be ejected without refund.
3/ No admission without a valid ticket (so don't lose it).
4/ Weekend Ticket holders (Thursday arrival): Car parks open at 9am and the campsites open at 10am on Thursday 27th July.
5/ Weekend Ticket holders (Friday arrival): Car parks and campsite entrances open at 9am on Friday 28th July.
6/ No entry to the site after midnight (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) or after 8.30pm on Sunday.
7/ Campsites close at 12pm midday and Car Parks close at 2pm on Monday 31st July.
8/ Babes In Arms (Age 1 & Under) can attend free of charge but you must obtain a ticket for them.
9/ By attending Camp Bestival Dorset, you and other patrons understand and agree to being photographed, filmed and/or recorded in relation to the event and/or for safety and security, including filming by the police. You and other patrons understand and agree that resulting photographs, videos, audio recordings and/or audiovisual recordings may be used in any and all media for any purpose at any time throughout the world (however, you may object to such use by specific request to privacy@livenation.co.uk).
CCTV
A CCTV system is in operation at this Event, for the purposes of Public Safety and Prevention of Crime. The scheme is controlled by Safe Festivals Group Ltd.
10/ Guests may be searched on entry to the event. If you are in possession of illegal substances you may be arrested.
11/ Weekend Campers are allowed to bring in their own alcohol (for personal consumption) but only up to a reasonable amount per person. Once you have entered the event you cannot re-enter with more alcohol supplies. Day Ticket holders cannot bring alcohol into the event.
12/ The following items are not permitted at Camp Bestival: illegal drugs or physchoactive substances, laughing gas/NOS, Chinese lanterns, fireworks/flares, smoke canisters, camping gas canisters above 5kg, generators of any kind, portable/chemical toilets, beanbags, glass of any kind, drones, laser equipment or pens, paint spray cans, klaxons / air horns / megaphones (or other similar items capable of making loud noise), personal motorized vehicles (unless a mobility scooter), animals (with the exception of assistance dogs), large sound systems, unauthorised or professional film or video equipment, excessive amounts of alcohol (see point 11), high visibility bibs and jackets, poles, banners and flags (small static flag poles in the campsites are allowed), and any item which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon (see point 14 regarding cooking knives, and also note small hammers and mallets for inserting tent pegs are allowed). 13/ You will not be allowed to bring in glass bottles or any kind. Broken glass is very dangerous for kids and for animals who will be using the estate and fields after the event. Leave all glass in the car, decant it into reusable containers or bin it. There are no exceptions.
14/ Knives (with a sharp or pointed blade) up to a blade length of 3 inches are allowed into the campsites for use in cooking (eg table knife, small paring knife). These are not allowed into the arenas.
15/ Due to on-site sanitary and hygiene considerations, personal portable toilet units are not permitted to be brought onto the festival site.
16/ No fires, flares, fireworks, Chinese lanterns, naked flames, etc. are allowed. There are fire lanes in the campsites where you'll be able to go to use small BBQs (please dispose of them in the BBQ bins once completely extinguished), and you are welcome to safely use small camping stoves outside your tent. All BBQs MUST be raised at least 1ft off the ground. Please read our camping safety advice here.
17/ Strictly no tents or gazebos allowed in the Boutique Camping Field.
18/ Campervans and Motorhomes are permitted as long as they fulfil the criteria laid out on the Campervan page here.
19/ Caravans and Trailer Tents are permitted but can only be taken into the Caravan/Trailer Tent area.
20/ No pet animals are allowed on the festival site other than assistance dogs.
21/ Built-in chemical toilets are permitted in the campervan and caravan fields only.
22/ Camping chairs are only allowed in designated areas of Paradise Garden premium bar.
23/ The promoter reserves the right to change the line up without notification.
24/ Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase, save as provided in Ticketmaster’s Purchase Policy.
25/ Your safety is of utmost importance to us. On rare occasions, we may have to close arenas and/or stages. The reason for any closure or restriction may include technical or operational reasons, inclement weather, capacity, or to ensure the safety and security of guests or if Camp Bestival organisers reasonably consider the circumstances so require.
26/ Due to conservation enforcement by the English Heritage, guests are not allowed to use the front steps/podium areas of Lulworth Castle.
27/ Camp Bestival accepts no responsibility for any loss and/or damage suffered by you as a result of any event outside our control. This does not affect your statutory rights.
28/ You must have lots of fun, it's the law.
Age & Height Restrictions:
The following attractions and activities at Camp Bestival Dorset have age & height restrictions as follows:
Ferris wheel - Children under 1.2m must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Chair-o-planes - 1.2m minimum height to ride
Cake Walk - 1.2m minimum to ride lone / Children between 1m - 1.2m must be accompanied by responsible adult
Lighthouse Helter Skelter - Children under 1.1m must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Carousel - Children under 1m must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Skateboarding - Children must be aged 4 or over
Scooter Riding - Children must be aged 4 or over
General Information:
- We politely ask that people who set up large areas of camping chairs and blankets in the main arena do not do so when popular acts are performing, and do so completely before dusk.
- Please do not climb (or allow your children to climb) the flag poles, signage poles, scaffold poles, or tent and marquee poles/ropes.
- Use of children's bicycles is permitted in campsites and Wild Tribe field only.
Cycling is restricted to fire lanes in campsites.
- Users of trolleys, in particular, large metal garden-style trolleys are not permitted into the area in front of the main stage in the Castle Field after 6pm on each day.
- Warning exposure to loud and excessive music may be damaging to your hearing.
- Parents are reminded that there are areas of the festival site, especially immediately in front of the stages, that are inappropriate for some people including young children.
- We remind all performers to remember there are children present and to use appropriate language, however, we cannot ensure they will follow this advice. Some of our comedians and music acts' material may not be suitable for younger audiences (and some adults).
- Strobe lighting and lasers may be used at the festival.
- The Lulworth Castle site is a beautiful natural site and we want to keep it that way so please help us by keeping it clean and recycling/composting what you can - Keep Bestival Tidy!
